We had the opportunity to sit down with Jordan Stevens, VP of Operations at Pass the Table to learn more about their app and how it is changing the way we learn about new experiences in Toronto.
Tell us about Pass the Table
Pass The Table is a mobile app that connects a community of diners to unique food experiences around Toronto.
With all the restaurant apps and rating systems. What makes Pass The Table unique?
We’ve developed close relationships with all of our culinary partners. This allows users to get an experience that you can’t find off of a menu. For example, we recently served up a delicious Japanese meal in a traditional Japanese knife shop called Tosho Knife Arts.
Experiences sound great, how does it work?
Simply download our app (iOS and Android), find an experience you like, book and enjoy. We also offer custom experiences for special occasions like a birthday or anniversary. In these cases, it’s best to get in touch with us (email email@example.com)
Who are your ideal customers… more specifically, who are using your app today?
We have a wide range of users on the app. Students seem to love the adventure. Our older folks really like the high quality offering that’s hard to find anywhere else. It’s a truly unique experience.
How are the “experiences” created and developed?
With over 65 partners, we’re always adding to the list. We work with our partners to come up with something they can do that would be unique for our users.
Is there a specific type of restaurant that you work with?
We strive to work with restaurants that are passionate about what they do. They typically work with us because they want to try something a bit our of the norm. Most of our partners are well established, but we welcome those who are new the Toronto scene as well.
What are you top 3 “experiences” (so far)?
Tilde “International Tacos”, BAJU “Southern BBQ Feast” and “Japanese Elevated” by Chef Terry Kobayash
Currently, Pass the Table is only available in Toronto. Do you have plans to expand to other cities?
Yup, but you have to keep an eye on us to find out where we’ll be next! Join our newletter (http://eepurl.com/Yqrrj) or better yet, register for our app!
