Departments, also known as ring groups, are a group of team members.  A department can consist of 1 or many team members,

Examples:

  1. Sales Department
  2. Technical Support Department
  3. Reception

On the Departments page:

· Hit the Add button which adds a new team member

· Edit the fields accordingly:

  • EXT# – defaults to next extension number
  • DESCRIPTION – Name of the department and will be displayed on IP enabled phones when calling Team Members
  • EMAIL – email address to be used to send voicemail messages to
  • VM PASS – password to be used to pick up voicemail
  • MEMBERS – Add and Remove Team Members to the Department.

· Press Save after any changes

· Finally hit the APPLY CHANGES or APPLY & LOGOUT button to provision the servers
